GEO agency

GEO agency shaping how AI models describe your brand

Most AI answers name vendors without linking to them. If your program only chases citations, you are invisible in the answers that actually build shortlists.

The short answer

Momentence is a GEO agency for B2B and B2C software companies. Generative engine optimization is the practice of shaping the corpus and entity data that generative models draw on, so that when a model writes about your category it names you and describes you accurately, whether or not it cites a page. We run it alongside AEO and SEO under one published monthly rate with a 6-month minimum.

  • GEO targets representation and shortlist inclusion, not just citations
  • The levers are mostly off-site: entity consistency, reviews, roundups, comparison coverage, correction of stale claims
  • Reported monthly as share of voice plus verbatim model output, from $6,500/mo

What GEO is, precisely

GEO (generative engine optimization) is the practice of influencing what a generative model says about your brand and category. The surface is the generated text itself. The unit of success is representation: are you named in the shortlist, and is the description of your product, category, and pricing correct.

That is a different job from AEO. AEO structures your own pages so a model can lift and cite a clean answer. GEO works on the wider evidence base a model retrieves and generalizes from, most of which sits on other people's sites.

  • Brand representation audit: verbatim model output across ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, and AI Overviews
  • Entity consistency across your site, schema, directories, review profiles, and social bios
  • Third-party corpus building: review coverage, category roundups, comparison content, credible community presence
  • Competitor displacement mapping on commercial shortlist prompts
  • Correction workflow for outdated pricing, sunset features, and abandoned positioning
  • Monthly share of voice and sentiment reporting on a stable prompt set

How we run GEO

We start by listening. One fixed prompt set, run across the major engines, captured verbatim. That gives two scorecards from one pass: whether you are cited (AEO) and whether you are named and described correctly (GEO).

Then we fix entities, because inconsistent naming undermines everything downstream. After that we work the corpus in priority order, targeting the specific third-party sources the models are already quoting in your baseline rather than a generic link list.

GEO, AEO, and SEO run as one program

These three disciplines share a prompt set, a content pipeline, and an entity graph. Splitting them across vendors doubles the cost and halves the signal, because the same page and the same schema serve all three outcomes.

That is why GEO is included in every Momentence tier rather than sold as an upsell. The tier determines depth: how many prompts we track, how much off-site placement work we run, and how granular the reporting gets.

Honest timelines

Entity and consistency fixes can change model output inside 30 to 60 days, because they resolve ambiguity rather than needing new sources. Displacing an incumbent in a competitive shortlist prompt is a 6 to 12 month program, since it depends on third-party sources publishing and refreshing.

Model output is non-deterministic and shifts between runs and versions. Anyone guaranteeing a specific phrasing or placement is selling something they do not control. We report the trend on a stable prompt set and attach the raw output.

Pricing, in public

Every engagement is published pricing on a 6-month minimum: Ignite at $6,500/mo, Momentum at $14,000/mo, Dominate at $28,000/mo, and Custom starting at $45,000/mo for a dedicated pod. You will know what this costs before you ever get on a call.

Self-qualify

Is this the right engagement for you?

A partner only helps if the problem lines up. Read both columns honestly.

This is for you if

  • Your buyers research through AI assistants before they talk to sales
  • Models currently describe your product, category, or pricing incorrectly
  • You are absent from generated shortlists where competitors appear
  • You want one partner running SEO, AEO, and GEO on a shared prompt set

This isn't for you if

  • You need pipeline this month, in which case start with paid advertising
  • You want a guaranteed phrase inside a model's answer
  • You are pre-product and still searching for a category to be described as
  • You want GEO reported as a single cherry-picked screenshot

FAQ

Common questions.

AEO is on-site work that earns a citation when a model answers a specific question. GEO is mostly off-site work that shapes how models describe your brand and whether you appear in generated shortlists at all. AEO is measured as citation share, GEO as share of voice plus description accuracy.

GEO is included in all our published tiers, from $6,500/mo Ignite through $28,000/mo Dominate, with custom engagements starting at $45,000/mo for a dedicated pod, all on a 6-month minimum. A standalone AEO plus GEO program is available at $4,500/mo, and a one-time brand representation audit is $2,500.

No. Model outputs are non-deterministic and change between runs and versions. What we can do is fix the inputs we can reach, track a stable prompt set month over month, and show you the verbatim output behind every number.

There is real overlap. GEO uses third-party placement, review coverage, and roundup inclusion the way PR does, but it targets machine retrieval rather than human readership and it is measured on model output rather than impressions.

In almost every case yes. Buyers still verify AI answers with a search and a click, and the pages that earn citations are usually the same pages that rank. We run SEO, AEO, and GEO as one program for that reason.
